This small, solid cherry wood dining table was sold to the customer for $2,000. During shipping and delivery the bottom of the base sustained two dents. One the size of a quarter, the other the size of a nickel. The wood was dented and the wood fibers were crushed. The company that sold the customer this table contacted me to restore this damage for the customer. This is one of the many repairs that I perform.<\/p>\n

First, I filled in the damage area with a filler that will not shrink and is actually harder than the actual wood. I then carefully sanded it. The final outcome is all dependent on the initial preparation. Next, I mixed a stain on site, stained it and re-lacquered the damaged area. After fine tuning the area and applying a couple more coats of lacquer. The repair is complete. The customer was very happy accepting the brand new table that previously arrived damaged.<\/p>\n
